Meet Dr. Denise Rable
Dr. Denise Rable is a breast surgical oncologist who has devoted her entire surgical practice to the care of patients with breast conditions. All of her continuing education and research involves staying current in this rapidly changing field. Dr. Rable is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Rable completed her undergraduate work at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. In 1990 Dr. Rable earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in general surgery at the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, in Oklahoma City, where she served as Chief Resident in Surgery. During her surgical residency she was awarded a National Institute of Health Research Fellowship from 1992-1994 and the H. Dale Collins Scholar in Surgery scholarship in 1993-1994.

After residency, Dr. Rable completed an additional fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Institute for Breast Health. Upon completion of this fellowship she was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma, practicing at the OU Institute for Breast Health. In 1999 Dr. Rable opened a comprehensive breast center in Norman, Oklahoma where she served as Medical Director for the Norman Regional Health Care System, Breast Care Center. During her 12 year tenure she established the Norman Regional Breast Center and Moore Specialty Hospital Breast Care Center.  

In 2015 Dr. Rable was appointed the Director of Breast Surgery for Integris Health System in Oklahoma City where she continues to devote her practice to treating women (and men) with breast disease. Dr. Rable’s practice focuses on diagnosing breast disease and developing the most appropriate treatment plan for each individual. Besides surgical interventions ranging from breast conserving surgeries to preventive mastectomy with reconstruction, her areas of special interest include risk assessment and genetic testing for individuals at high risk for developing breast and genetically related cancers.
